The Cockapoo has history dating back to the 1960's. It was the first of the Hybrids or what some refer to as "Designer Dogs". Taking a Poodle and a Cocker Spaniel to become the Cockapoo. They wanted a dog that had the intelligence and non-shedding of the Poodle with the loving nature, easygoing feeling of a Cocker Spaniel. It mostly worked. If you sit down, your lap belongs to the Cockapoo.
